Al-Houthi praises the Islamic Summit of Kuala Lumpur, calls for a position for Yemen

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi praised the Islamic Summit of Kuala Lumpur, which will start its operations in the Malaysian capital, today Wednesday.

“We bless Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s call for a summit at this time, especially as there are issues that need an Islamic position, such as the aggression against Yemen, the deal of the century, and the weak Muslims throughout the world,” Al-Houthi published on his official account on tweeter.

He expressed his hope that the summit will produce positive results and follow-up to implementation, “We hope to see the Kuala Lumpur Summit usher in a new phase of dialogue and joint action.”

Al-Houthi considered that any Arab ruler attending the Kuala Lumpur Summit represents his country, and represents the Republic of Yemen on behalf, as it is on an unjust blockade forced by US-Saudi-UAE aggression and its allies.

Around 450 leaders, scholars, clerics, and thinkers from 52 countries will attend, along with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
